Grŵp offerynau taro ffynci  yw’r grwp Carnifal Bloco Swn. Band sy’n cymysgu dylanwadau cerddoriaeth byd a theimlad hwyliog parti. Cafodd y band ei greu yn Haf 2012 i berfformio fel rhan o berfformiad Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru ‘C’laen  Ta’ ac i berfformio ochr yn ochr a choreograffi Colin Daimond ym mherfformiad ‘Crochan a Ffwrnais’ yng Nghastell Harlech. Perfformiadau mewn amryw o garnifals Gogledd Cymru, mewn tafarndai ac yn digwyddiadau chwaraeon.

Dwi’n arwain “Bloco Sŵn,” band carnifal o Ogledd Cymru. Mae gen i brofiad helaeth o ddarparu gweithdai Samba dros 20 mlynedd a mwy. Gwiriad DBS.

Darperir pob offeryn ar gyfer grwpiau o hyd at 40. Gellid teilwra’r gweithdai ar gyfer pob grŵp oedran ac mae modd cynnwys perfformiad i’w rannu ar ddiwedd y dydd.

Gallwn ddarparu ar gyfer grwpiau mwy gyda chymhorthydd.

Rhedeg am yr ail mlwyddyn, fydd myfyrwyr o Gymdeithas Affro-Caribïaidd Prifysgol Bangor, drymwyr Batala Bangor a Bloco Swn yn cydweithio drwy perfformiad wrth Cloc Bangor ar Dydd Sadwrn 31 Hydref am hanner dydd.

Join us for North Wales' biggest Samba Style drumming event.

Join us for North Wales’ biggest Samba Style drumming event.

This project is a collaboration between Colin Daimond, Bangor University Afro-Caribbean Society and Batala Bangor. Drum Workshops running for all ages on THURSDAYS 9th & 16th October. 5:30-7:30pm only £2. On Saturday, 18th October, 12.00 – 1.00pm, a mass band will perform in Bangor town centre to mark Black History Month – a time to raise awareness of the importance of people of African and Asian origins in world and local history. The mass group will perform arrangement’s based on Afoxé and Samba Reggae rhythms from Brazil. To join the band, contact Colin@capoeiramocambo.co.uk (or 07773 798199), you can reserve your instrument for the drum workshopss on 9th and 16th October, between 5.30 – 7.30pm, at The Old Goods Yard, Treborth, Bangor (near antelope pub LL57 2hz). As the 2014 World Cup is in Brazil, International Companies, Community Organisations, weddings and birthday parties are all after a taste of the Brazilian Beat. Colin has been playing samba since 1995, running community projects since 2000, and working on corporate team building exercises since 2001. Colin has run workshops through the mediums of English, Welsh, German and Portuguese for numbers ranging from 3 to 700 participants.
